Meet Carmen

Carmen Foti is an independently licensed clinical social worker. She graduated from Boston College with her Master of Social Work in 2016. Prior to becoming a therapist she worked several years in medical settings offering complex care management, counseling, and bereavement/end of life support. She has extensive experience supporting those who are facing chronic or terminal illness and those who are disabled as well as their caregivers and loved ones.

Healing through a decolonized lens is centered in her values as a person and therapist. Social justice and community care are very important to her. She is especially passionate about racial justice and disability justice. Her lived experience as a person of color, adoptee, and with chronic illness help inform her practice. She brings curiosity and compassion to how an individual’s lived experience impacts their life and to the internal wisdom they possess.
